Visual equivalences, from top to down:

(1) – linear gradation between greys: Black lines, and Yellow/Violet lines – visually constant.

(2) – 5 random distributions of colored lines following an increasing amount of colors (from 3 to 8) and a simulatneous increase of layers (2 pass to 7 pass), creating several geometric “patterns” (or ‘flowers”, see above). Average reflectance is the same as (1), seen at some distance the samples have no tint.

(3) – linear gradation between Yellow and blue lines distributed as in (1), and Red/Green/Blue lines following a random distribution as in (2). Average reflectance identical with (1) & (2), no tint at some distance as in (2).

triangles / hexagons

4 colors 3 pass

squares / octogons (a 5th pass has corrected the color due to a mistake, so it’s hard to see)

5 colors 4 pass + 1 corrective pass

pentagons / pentagrams / decagons / decagrams, and some “flowers” (various combinations of pentagrams or decagrams within small, medium or large pentagons)

6 colors 5 pass

triangles / hexagons / “david’s stars” / flowers with 13 white holes (12 around a central one)
