The special Japanese elutriation treatment ensures a more exact and equal grain size than just by sieving and the colors are very brilliant
The numbers stand for sizes: No. 8 = 50 µ, No. 10 = 27 µ, No. 12 = 14 µ, No. 14 = 5 µ.

Pigments are first passed trough a series of sieves, then they are separated by several processes of sedimentation with very pure water, see video.
